Prayer

At SLE we believe that while God can do anything without prayer, He chooses to do His work through prayer - that is, He chooses to work out His purposes in this world through the prayers of His people. The Bible teaches Christians to pray about anything and everything, and to pray unceasingly. We are to pray individually and together, and we can pray confidently when we ask for God's will to be done in and through the name of His Son Jesus.

So because we value and believe in the efficacy of prayer, we pray! We pray in church services, in our fellowship groups, in 1-to-1 Bible studies together, and as part of our individual relationships with God. We also set aside time once a month to pray together as a church family. We call this time our PrayStation and it's held on the first Wednesday night of each month at 7.30pm at church. We hope (and pray) that every member of SLE will see the value in coming to PrayStations - to present our petitions to our great God, with thanksgiving. So please come!
